欧洲标准化委员会 (CEN) 于2013年4月底公布新欧洲标准《EN 16139 : 2013》。

EN 16139:2013 Furniture – Strength, durability and safety – Re for non-domestic seating

This European Standard specifies re for the safety, strength and durability of all types of non-domestic seating intended to be used by adults with a weight of not more than 110 kg, including office visitor chairs. This European Standard does not apply to ranked seating, office work chairs, chairs for educational institutions, outdoor seating and to links for linked seating for which European Standards or drafts exist. It does also not apply to work chairs for industrial use. This European Standard does not include re for the durability of upholstery materials, castors, reclining and tilting mechanisms and seat height adjustment mechanisms. This European Standard does not include re for the resistance to ageing, degradation and flammability.

All kind of chairs for non domestic use can be assessed according to this standard.

欧洲标准化委员会 (CEN) 于2013年4月底公布新欧洲标准《EN 16139 : 2013》。

该标准关注非家用座椅，如旋转座椅、附设滑轮及无轮座椅、办公室访客座椅和同类座椅的测试要求。新标准的测试方法以其他欧洲标准沿用的方法为本。该新标准要求于2013年9月前撤回与其冲突的标准。有鉴于此，新标准将于2013年8月终生效。其内容结合了《EN 15373 : 2007非家用座椅的强度、耐用性和安全要求》(EN 15373 : 2007 Re Strength; Durability and Safety of non - Domestic Seating) 和《EN 13761 : 2002办公室访客座椅要求》 (EN 13761 : 2002 Re Office Visitors Chairs)。换言之，该两项标准会被《EN 16139 : 2013》取代。

新标准涵盖所有供体重不足 110 公斤 (kg) 成人使用的非家用座椅的安全、强度和耐用性。这却不包括连排座椅、教育机构使用座椅、户外座椅和工业用途的工作座椅。

新标准并不涉及项目，如室内装饰材料、脚轮及后仰程度、倾斜程度和高度调校装置的耐用性要求。此外，新标准亦不包括就对抗座椅老化、衰退和易燃性的要求。

1）边，角(所有使用者在实际使用中直接接触到的部件的边和角必须倒圆角或斜角，其他接触到的部件必须没有锋利的边或毛刺)

2） 管状部件，开孔以及使用过程中接触到的间隙等

3）剪切和挤压等危险点

4）座面强度、冲击及疲劳测试

5）靠背强度、疲劳测试

6）扶手静载强度、冲击及疲劳测试

7）椅腿的向前静载强度测试

8）椅腿侧向静载强度测试

9）稳定性测试（前向稳定性，侧向稳定性，后向稳定性等）
